Cardiovascular Labs

Patients receive expert medical care to evaluate, diagnose and treat all types of cardiac and cardiovascular diseases and conditions.  Our specialists perform a full spectrum of diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional services utilizing non-invasive and invasive procedures.  With the use of state-of-the-art technology, advanced testing and treatments are available.

Non-Invasive Cardiology

Echocardiography (ECHO)

This ultrasound technology produces superior imaging of the heart muscle.  It evaluates heart and valve function, blood flow and volume, as well as detects blood flow, signs of heart failure, possible blood clots and new and previous heart injuries.

  • 2-D
  • Doppler
  • Color Flow
  • TEE (Transesophageal ECHO)
  • Stress ECHO

Electrocardiogram (EKG)

This non-invasive test records electrical activity of the heart to determine the presence of heart disease, heart rhythm problems, insufficient blood flow, changes in electrolytes and other diseases or conditions.

  • Signal Average EKG
  • Holter Monitoring
  • Event Recording

Nuclear Cardiology

Stress Test

With the use of a treadmill, stress tests measure the heart’s activity and function by monitoring blood pressure, heart rate and electrical activity to detect problems that only appear during exercise.  It may also determine the underlying cause of heart disease, heart failure, high blood pressure or asthma; or to measure fitness and capacity of the heart and lungs for exercise.

  • Dobutamine Stress
  • Persantine Stress
  • Nuclear Stress

Invasive Cardiology

Invasive cardiology services provide a closer view of the heart and vessels to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions.  Some invasive procedures include:

  • Brachytherapy
  • Cardiac Catheterization
  • Coronary Ultrasound
  • Coronary Stent (Bare metal, drug eluting)
  • Angiojet
  • Atherectomy
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Rotational Atherectomy (PTCRA)
  • IVUS

Electrophysiology (EP)

This test involves the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias and disturbances or abnormalities of the heart’s electrical system.

  • Tilt Table Test
  • Diagnostic EP Study
  • Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA)
  • ICD Implants  (Defibrillator)
  • ICD Checks – Non-Invasive Program Stimulation (NIPS)
  • Pacemaker Implantation
  • Pacemaker Clinic/TTM
  • Mapping studies
  • ICD Support Group
